Make Your Own LED Light Kit - COOL WHITE

This guide to help you create an entire fit out of LED lighting kit for your exterior and interior lights for your caravan. As each caravan lighting configuration is different we are helping you select the required lights to suit your unique caravan.
This is the easy way to find all your replacement bulbs needed. Here you can select from the drop down list on the above right to select the LED bulbs which best suit your caravan. Best of all you can choose the quantity and type you want so you don't get stuck with a generic kit.
Please see suggestions below for different LED bulb replacements and there location for use. We have tried to include photos of different lighting types to help you understand what’s in your caravan or motorhome.
As there are a number of different lights fitted to the interior roof of your van and there locations it may be required to choose a few different sizes. Most common used lights are in the Jayco’s which are fitted with a T10 (W5W Wedge) light bulb. These lights are easily changed to LEDs.
As we have four main options with an 8 LED being the least bright up to a 48 LED being the brightest to choose from here are some suggestions as to where each light is used.
SMALL T10 fitted with 8 LEDs is commonly used over the bed area.
MEDIUM T10 fitted with 16 LEDs is commonly used over the shower or toilet area.
LARGE T10 fitted with 24 LEDs is commonly used over the main living area.
X LARGE T10 fitted with 48 LEDs is commonly used over the table, kitchen area or outside exterior wall light.
The T10 wedge bulb, watch this video to see just how easy they are to fit. It's simple.

Most range hoods use either an MR16 or MR11 light with either one or two fitted. Both of these lights appear similar in style but are different in size. Measuring across the face of the light the MR11 is 35mm across and the MR16 is 50mm across.
Most exterior handles are fitted with one BA15S light although some are fitted with a T10 light.
There are a few different options when it comes to the exterior wall awning lights on your caravan. Sometimes it requires you to remove the cover to see what bulb is fitted.
Depending on the age Jayco’s often use either a T10 (W5W Wedge) or a BA15S while others use a G4 light.
READING LIGHTS (Also referred to as down lights, map lights and or dome lights):
As there are a number of different styles and types of reading lights fitted to the interior of your van there are a few different sizes to choose from. Although there is commonly one main light bulb type used G4 LEDs give us the option for different and alternative configurations. These lights are easily changed to LEDs. There are other options out that fit a T10 8 SMD LED and even an MR11.
PLEASE NOTE that the price only updates for all items once added to the cart. At present the website doesn't tally up the cost as you go.

  • They are LED, drawing much less power than a conventional bulb.
  • Brand name Epistar LED chips.
  • Direct plug and play. No rewiring required.
  • Fitted with a bridge rectifier so the lights are not polarity conscious.
  • Electro-Magnetic Compatibility. (EMC Compliant).
  • High luminous output compared to wattage.
  • Manufactured by an ISO9001:2008 certified company.

(EMC) Electromagnetic Compatibility is the ability of electronic devices such as this LED light to operate as intended in proximity to other electronic devices or in the presence of electromagnetic fields. Unintentional radio frequency emissions from an electronic device and immunity of the device to radio frequency interference from other electromagnetic sources are included within electromagnetic compatibility.
An example of this being, you are watching your LCD TV and a non-EMC complaint light is switched on. You then start seeing interference on your TV screen, static, even picture freeze. Switching the light off and the interference has gone. By using an EMC compliant lighting product avoids this from happening, especially when these days so many devices we use contain sensitive electronics.
Please be aware that some non-EMC compliant LEDs may cause interference with electronic equipment such as TV’s, radio’s, etc.
